From cities of Europe to small Devon towns – Adrian Green
Having exhibited across the United Kingdom and as far afield as Japan, Welsh Artist of the Year award winner Adrian Green brings an exclusive collection of new works to The Brownston Gallery in Modbury, South Devon.
Adrian Green solo show from 2 March to 24 March 2007 will feature a unique body of work created specially for the gallery, including his new, highly distinctive and recognisable interpretations of local towns such as Modbury, Salcombe, Noss Mayo, Plymouth Hoe, Thurlestone, Bigbury on Sea, Dartmouth and Kingsbridge.
This populist contemporary artist first exhibited with The Brownston Gallery in its inaugural exhibition in April 2006. Adrian is well known for travelling and painting the towns and cities of Europe, producing captivating images in pen, ink and watercolour. He said “Working on location I aim to depict scenic and unique aerial views, capturing both the tranquillity of European towns and the ferocity of city life.”
After visiting The Brownston Gallery and travelling further in Devon and into Cornwall, Adrian became entranced with the breathtaking and inspirational small town scenery. The result is a simply stunning body of work unique to The Brownston Gallery.
